Huntsman launches 4E solutions for China

Huntsman, a global manufacturer of specialty chemicals, announced new tailor-made solutions on Wednesday to help China improve its environmental protection.
The solutions, named 4E Solution, can either make use of surplus energy or reduce hazardous emissions for clients of Huntsman.
“Sustainability has topped China’s agenda in both economic and social development,” said Kenny Pan, vice president of Huntsman Polyurethanes in Asia Pacific.
“Huntsman is committed to facilitating this for China by enhancing our innovation capabilities, expanding investment and serving customers with more environmentally friendly products.”
To show its commitment to China, Huntsman also announced that its expanded MDI plant that produces raw materials for polyurethane in Shanghai's Jinshan District has become operational. This project will meet the growing demands of downstream customers, and thus help them better transform and upgrade.
Kenny Pan predicted that the soaring price of MDI will probably return to normal levels, good news for downstream customers.
