Shanghai has been favored by many companies to debut their flagship products, and now Anta Sports picked the city to unveil its blockbuster sportswear series authorized by the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

As China’s largest homegrown sportswear group by sales and market value, Anta chose Shanghai because the city sets a benchmark for fashion among young people, said Ding Shizhong, CEO of Anta Sports.

This was the first time sportswear products linked with the Beijing Winter Olympics have hit the market, and the series is authorized to have a Chinese national flag printed on it — a privilege once reserved only for athletes.

According to the Shanghai Commission of Commerce, Shanghai has witnessed more than 4,500 product debuts last year, ranking top in the country.
