Yuyuan showcases great brands from Shanghai
An exhibition of household products from the old days of Shanghai is being staged in the Yuyuan Garden.
It has been organized by Yuyuan Inc, which manages businesses in the garden, located in Shanghai’s central Huangpu District, as part of the events to celebrate the China Brand Day on Sunday.
The exhibition “A Glimpse of Homes in Shanghai” showcases locally made products from the past including furniture, bikes, bowls, cups, mirrors, clothes, candies, magazines, calendars, television sets and fridges.
“Shanghai is a place where many famous brands were born,” said Chen Bai, co-organizer of the exhibition and curator of the Collection Museum in Shanghai. “I believe the exhibition of these old products will remind people of Shanghai’s traditions and encourage the city to continue to pursue the goal of creating brands of great fame.”
Yuyuan Inc has prepared many products to showcase during the China Brand Day, hoping to strengthen brands of its own. It will host a series of livestreaming programs to promote jewelry, appliances featured Chinese culture, and various gifts.
As a highlight, there will be the launch of a pair of Feiyue shoes, which have a special print, Nanxiang steamed buns, on it to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant in the Yuyuan Garden Malls.
