First exhibits for import expo clear customs

The first batch of exhibits for the third China International Import Expo passed through customs on Monday.

Estee Lauder lotion and skincare products from the US arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. 

After their arrival, COSCO Air Freight Forwarding Co declared the relevant documents to the customs at the National Convention and Exhibition Center on Monday.

The Customs Declaration Hall at the center has set up a special window for CIIE exhibits this year and the first batch quickly completed the clearance process.

It is also the first time Shanghai Customs has experimented with paperless customs clearance for the entry declaration of exhibits. 

Enterprises do not have to go to customs to submit required materials, instead they just need upload electronic documents through a single window and wait for customs to review and approve them online.

The first batch of exhibits will be temporarily stored in a warehouse, waiting to be delivered to the venue.
