Exhibition displays transportation lifestyle
Shanghai Auto Museum is collaborating with Suzhou Museum to present an exhibition on water and land transportation.
The exhibition records the development of the transportation methods and vehicles in Jiangnan, regions south of the Yangtze River. Around 80 cultural items are displayed.
According to Qian Zhaoyue, deputy director of Suzhou Museum, the exhibition blends traditional and modern elements to display the country’s inheritance and innovation in transportation.
Visitors can take part in a vehicle model building program during the exhibition. Interactive educational events themed on automobiles and traditional culture will also tour campus and community centers in Shanghai.
Yao Chang, an official with Shanghai Auto Museum and a curator of the exhibition, said they hope to show the charms of the traditional culture and lifestyles.
