Norwegian musician takes flight to Shanghai on 'Aviation Tour'
British-born Norwegian artist, DJ and producer Alan Walker is returning to China with his “Aviation Tour.”
A post-millennial child, the 22-year-old artist who is usually identified by his trademark mask and hoodie grew up surrounded by technology and became fascinated by programing, gaming and graphic design.
Early tracks from the self-taught musician gained traction and millions of plays on YouTube and SoundCloud, and his 2015 commercial debut “Faded” went viral, earning him multi-platinum certifications.
Walker is also responsible for iconic tracks such as “Alone,” “All Falls Down” and “Diamond Heart.”
The musician is one of the most sought-after artists on the scene and one of the 100 most popular artists on Spotify.
He has had an impressive run of more than 500 headliner and festival shows, including Coachella, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza and more. In addition, he has supported global superstars such as Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Kygo. China’s electronic rising star CORSAK, whose debut single “REVERSE” has 1 billion streams online, is joining Walker as the support act during the tour in China.
Kicking off his China tour in Chengdu on Sunday, Walker will also bring his hit tracks to Shanghai, including songs from his debut 2018 studio album “Different World” and his new single “On My Way.” Later the multi-talented artist takes the tour to Foshan, Guangdong Province.
