'Detective Chinatown 3' cast meets local fans

Cast members of the comedy-mystery film “Detective Chinatown 3,” including actors Wang Baoqiang, Liu Haoran and Ning Chang, met with local fans on Sunday.

The film is slated for national release on Saturday, the first day of the Chinese New Year.

Written and directed by Chen Sicheng, this latest installment in the popular series centers on a murder in Tokyo. Japanese actors Tsumabuki Satoshi and Tadanobu Asano also star in this latest foray.

Ticket presales for the film have already surpassed 100 million yuan (US$15 million).

Liu Haoran said it was a rewarding experience to cooperate with so many stars of Japan. He mentioned that nostalgic songs and scenes will continue to be featured in the movie.
