Local TV channels offer plenty of holiday options

Shanghai Media Group will offer viewers a wide variety of programs during the five-day Labor Day holiday starting on Friday.

Dragon TV and News Channel will air news programs focusing on the city’s efforts to revive the economy after the novel coronavirus epidemic. The programs will also focus on the country’s online celebrities, such as Taobao livestreamer Li Jiaqi.

DocuTV will present a batch of documentary series, including "The Qiantang River” and “The National Southwest Associated University.”

Additionally, a series of classic movies from home and abroad will be aired in restored versions. Among them are “Spring River Flows East” (1947), “Crows and Sparrows” (1949) and “Jane Eyre” (1970).
