The drama series “Nothing but Thirty,” centering on the emotions and pressures of urban women turning 30 years old, airs today on Dragon TV.

Starring Jiang Shuying, Tong Yao and Mao Xiaotong, the story revolves around three women, who face different challenges at a crucial stage in their lives, as they leave behind their youthful, carefree 20s to embrace the “adult” life of a 30-year-old, a milestone in any woman’s life. With encouragement from each other, they bravely make changes to their circumstances while facing a crisis in marriage, love and career. Jiang revealed she is deeply impressed by the courage and optimism of the characters in the story. No matter what problems they may have, they never lose hope and faith to move on.

Although the drama is shot from a women’s perspective, it also depicts the pressures of life and stress in the workplace of 30-something men. Yang Le portrays a busy TV editor whose marriage is under strain for lack of communication and care.

“The series is also inspiring for male viewers who are in love and in a relationship,” said Yang.

Scriptwriter Zhang Yingji said that the stories of the three women will explore more possibilities for urban women to find themselves and live a more fulfilling life.
