ChinaJoy, the country’s biggest game show, kicked off on Friday in Shanghai as usual.

Although pre-registration with real name are required to control the visitor flow during the epidemic, there is still a long queue at the gate of Shanghai New International Expo Center, to see the newest games and smart devices from around 400 exhibitors on display.

In the first half of 2020, China’s online game revenue jumped 20 percent year on year to 139.49 billion yuan (US$20 billion), with about 660 million online gamers, according to the China Game Industry Report.
