Discover the most #Instaworthy temple in central Taiwan
One of the most #Instaworthy spots in central Taiwan is a temple known as the “Blue House.” Polish professional photographer Amedee, who has lived in Taiwan for many years, said that he was amazed by the temple’s unique atmosphere.
A five-minute drive from the center of Puli, Nantou, the Baohu Temple of Dimu is a significant religious center in the area. It is also the center of the Taoist belief in “Our Lady of God.”
Founded in 1947, the Puli Temple is dedicated to the Taoist goddess of the earth, mountains and rivers — Dimu. It is one of the most important Taoist temples in Taiwan.
Sitting in the mountains at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level, the religious center is surrounded by mountains, overlooking the large green glazed tile roofs of the temples.
The Polish photographer, who is good at capturing the beauty of temple architecture, was fascinated by the blue-green composition of the temple.
“Most of the temples in Taiwan are red and orange, and this one is really special because it’s mostly blue and green,” he said.
In addition, the hinterland of the temple occupies an area of over 3,500 square meters and it takes more than an hour to walk around the whole area.
