A competition to select a future star of literature opened in Yangpu District on Wednesday, targeting youngsters nationwide.
The competition seeks novels by students from middle school to university.
The deadline for submissions is September 30. Budding scriveners can submit entries to wlwyzx@163.com. Winners will be announced in November.
Writers Zhao Lihong and Wang Liping will serve as the judges.
Last year, the event received 3,000 entries.
