Party Secretary Li meets DuPont CEO

Shanghai Party Secretary Li Qiang met Marc Doyle, CEO of DuPont, in Shanghai yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Li said: “We are studying and implementing President Xi Jinping’s important instructions for Shanghai’s work and the spirit of his keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 2nd China International Import Expo.”

DuPont is welcome to bring more advanced technologies and innovations to Shanghai, and put new research and development centers and production bases in the city to help with Shanghai’s high-quality economy, he stated. “We will strive to provide better services for enterprises from home and abroad.”

Doyle replied that DuPont will continue to promote its localization development strategy, expand investment in Shanghai, and actively develop in the Lingang New Area. The company will also promote the development of advanced manufacturing, technology R&D, and innovation projects, and achieve greater development for better integration into Shanghai’s development, he added.

City leader Zhuge Yujie also attended the meeting.
