Mayor Ying meets IC industry strategy panel delegation

Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong met a delegation of the Shanghai Integrated Circuit Design Industry M&A Investment Fund Strategy Committee in Shanghai on Saturday.

The integrated circuit industry is a strategic emerging industry and it enjoys development priority in Shanghai, Ying noted. After a long period of hard work, Shanghai has become one of the regions with the most complete IC industry chain, the highest industrial concentration and the strongest comprehensive technical capability, he said.

“We welcome global funds related to integrated circuit as well as enterprises to increase investment in Shanghai and promote the vigorous development of the industry in a market-oriented manner,” Ying added.

Chen Yin, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Committee and executive vice mayor, also attended the meeting.
