Shanghai Transport Commission says number of people entering or leaving the city during the Spring Festival travel rush will be around 1 percent more than last year.

More than 45.47 million people are expected to arrive and leave Shanghai during the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush from January 10 , about 1 percent more than last year, Shanghai Transport Commission said on Wednesday.
The peak days are expected to come after the Spring Festival on January 30 and February 8.
The commission said more people were traveling by train or plane.
Some 42.42 million cars are expected to enter or leave town via the expressways during the travel rush.
