Mayor Ying meets Disney Parks boss

Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong met Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, in Shanghai yesterday.

“We are very glad to see that Shanghai Disney has received more than 40 million visitors since its opening on June 16, 2016, which proves that the cooperation between Shanghai and Disney is successful,” Ying said.

Shanghai will continue to support Disney and its Chinese partner to improve the park’s management and provide better experience for visitors, he added.

Chapek expressed his gratitude for the great support from the Shanghai municipal government and Disney’s cooperation partners.

Disney will work with Chinese partners to continue to promote the development and construction of the park, find a more suitable operation mode for local consumers and provide better services for tourists, he stated.
