Shanghai confirmed the second coronavirus-related pneumonia case on Tuesday, after the first one was reported on Monday.

The patient, a Shanghai native, is a 35-year-old man who went to central China's Wuhan City, where nearly 200 cases have been found, on January 8 and returned to Shanghai on January 11.

He then developed such symptoms as fever, coughing and nose running. He went to a local hospital on January 16 and was put into separation right away.

He was tested positive to coronavirus by local disease control and prevention authority and was confirmed as a coronavirus case after expert evaluation, said Shanghai Health Commission.

The patient now is in stable condition and his temperature is normal. People with close contact are undergoing medical observation.

Another four suspected cases are under testing, the commission said.
