The second season of “Touch Shanghai,” a documentary series on the lives and achievements of local cultural celebrities, will start to air on Docu TV on Monday.
The series examines the lives of 10 cultural figures, including artists Han Min, sociologist Deng Weizhi and calligrapher Liu Xiaoqing.
They tell their own stories and share expertise and distinctive viewpoints in their fields.
Zhang Lai, producer and director of the series, hopes to show the unique characters and spirit of Shanghai, and inherent power for the city’s development.
Kunqu Opera artist Ji Zhenhua is one of the 10 cultural figures.
