The sixth season of “Eureka!” — a weekly show about science and technology for teenagers — started airing on the local News Channel on Saturday evening.

The program is a collaboration of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Education Commission and Shanghai Media Group.

Since its debut in 2013, the show has gathered teenage inventors from all over the world to compete with their latest inventions.

In the new season, teenagers will exchange and share their dreams about global development.

The contestants are concerned about universal issues like environmental protection, the preservation of traditional culture and artificial intelligence.

Their inventions include water quality tester and a medical facial mask. The contestants are also required to make a new invention within 24 hours.
