Another 22 recovered patients discharged

Another 22 coronavirus patients were discharged on Sunday, including three who were previously in a serious condition, said Shanghai Health Commission.

So far, 249 patients have recovered, including seven people who were seriously sick, the commission said.

As of midnight Saturday, Shanghai has reported 335 coronavirus cases with a 74 percent of recovery rate.

Dr Zhang Wenhong, head of the city's coronavirus expert team, said the success of Shanghai is due to patients gathered in designated hospitals with the best experts from all hospitals.

"We are happy that our efforts have achieved such good results as more patients, especially those who were serious, are discharged," he said.
