The other is a Chinese working in Russia and arrived at the Pudong airport on March 28. The person was put under quarantine upon arrival.

Both patients have been transferred to the designated hospital and their 10 close contacts on the planes have been tracked and put under quarantine and observation.

Meanwhile, eight imported cases — two from the UK, two from France, two from the US and two from Switzerland — were discharged from hospital upon recovery on Saturday.

So far of all the192 imported cases, 29 have been discharged upon recovery and 163 are hospitalized, including one in critical condition.

Another 24 suspected imported cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted cases or suspected cases were reported on Saturday.

Among the 339 local cases, 327 have been discharged upon recovery, and six are hospitalized, including five in critical condition. There have been six local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation right now, the health commission said.

To further enhance coronavirus prevention and control, the city government is stepping up health education and cleaning.

The government will make use of the monthlong health campaign in April to carry out citywide cleaning and pest control as well as promoting health education to improve public health quality on disease prevention and control.

The authority will target wet markets, outskirts areas and old residential complexes in the campaign to improve overall hygiene in the city and introduce health education in villages, schools, governmental facilities and enterprises, officials said through a TV conference.
