Two new imported novel coronavirus cases were reported in the city on Saturday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Sunday morning.

The newly diagnosed patients are both Russian, who are sailors. They left Russia on June 28 and arrived in Shanghai on July 9, when they were sent to hospital for testing and quarantine for showing symptoms.

The patients have been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, while all the 19 close contacts on the same boat have been put under quarantine and observation at designated place.

So far, of all the 382 imported cases, 355 have been discharged upon recovery and 27 are still hospitalized.

Three imported suspected cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Saturday.

Of all the 342 local cases, 334 have been discharged upon recovery and one is hospitalized for treatment. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
