Three new imported novel coronavirus cases were reported in the city on Monday, while one imported patient from the UK was discharged from hospital upon recovery, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Tuesday morning.

The newly diagnosed patients include a Chinese visiting family in the UK and a pair of mother and daughter, both Chinese, traveling in the US.

The patients have been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, while all the 70 close contacts on the planes have been put under quarantine and observation at designated place.

So far, of all the 386 imported cases, 356 have been discharged upon recovery and 30 are still hospitalized.

One imported suspected case is undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Monday.

Of all the 342 local cases, 334 have been discharged upon recovery and one is hospitalized for treatment. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
