Li Teng, 29, is the only deputy at this formation of the Shanghai People's Congress elected as a student.
Having graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he is now working for COSCO, but he still serves as president of the Shanghai Students' Federation.
Shanghai Daily talked to him during this year's session of the SPC and heard his story of working as a legislator.
