Right now much of the world is in some form of lockdown because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, but how does the situation in different countries compare?

Yesterday, on the last day of my 14-day strict quarantine, I had a video chat with a Chinese friend living in New Zealand, which is now a week into total lockdown.

Li Runsheng, initially from Shenzhen, is now living in Auckland, my home country's largest city.

He's not terribly worried about the situation, yet, but is having trouble getting his hands on rice and flour, and doesn't understand why Kiwis refuse to wear face masks.

Check out the video above to compare quarantine in Shanghai, China and Auckland, New Zealand.
