Juss Sports signs sports deal with Jiao Tong college
A partnership signing ceremony between Shanghai Juss Sports Group and Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Antai College of Economics Management was held at Oriental Sports Center on Thursday.
Shanghai Juss Sports Group sealed a partnership with Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Antai College of Economics Management on Thursday, whereby the two parties will combine their resources and work together for the development of the city's sports industry.
State-owned Juss Sports Group is the organizer of a batch of world-class sports events in Shanghai, including the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix, ATP 1000 Shanghai Rolex Masters, equestrian Global Champions Tour, and IAAF Diamond League.
It manages some of the city's major sports venues like the Oriental Sports Center, Qizhong Tennis Center and the new Pudong Football Stadium, which is under construction. Last year, the group took over Chinese Basketball Association league side Shanghai Sharks, which is now called Shanghai Juss Sharks. The group also has interests in athlete management and sports training system.
Under the new partnership, Antai College will use its education and research resources to assist Juss in the exploration of areas like sports economics, brand strategy, sports culture and innovation, big data, new media application, as well as sports talent cultivation.
The partnership signing ceremony was held at Oriental Sports Center on Thursday, during which Juss officials shared the company's experience in sports venue management and event organization.
