Passengers moved by driver carrying old man on and off bus

A bus driver from Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi Province, lifted an old man in his arms on and off his bus on September 15, a kind act which was widely applauded by passengers, and netizens.

The No. 105 bus driver, surnamed Gong, stepped down from the driver’s seat and helped the trembling old man on board when he found the man had difficulty doing so alone. Gong guided the old man to the special seat when they were aboard.

Gong carried the old man off the bus when he arrived at his stop. The old man waved thanks to Gong as the bus left. Two other passengers also gave a helping hand to the old man when he tried to get on and off the bus.

Applause burst out from all the passengers aboard when Gong returned to the driver’s seat.
