A group of passers-by in east China helped save an 11-year-old boy who was drawn into a fast-flowing drainage channel amid heavy rain, China Central Television reported.

As security video showed, the boy suddenly fell into a drainage channel by the roadside when he was on his way to take an umbrella to a family member at around 3pm on April 30. He was soon caught in the fast moving current of the storm drain in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province.
