Data collection saves time

More than 23 billion pieces of data, from 59 government departments, have been pooled onto an intelligent platform of Hangzhou municipal government since January, revealed the Hangzhou Data Resources Bureau.

Among them, 868 million pieces of data, covering four key areas of real estate registration, business registration, investment projects and individual affairs, had been collected by the end of November.

With the platform, government departments can share the information conveniently. From August to November, government departments used 870,000 pieces of social security data from the platform.

Meanwhile, the minimum time to apply for a passport has been reduced from seven days to four days. And passports can be delivered to the door instead of fetching them at the exit and entry administrative office window.

The Hangzhou government plans to publish an administrative data resource catalogue in 2018, making it convenient for residents and enterprises to use. It also plans to set up a data resources platform in Xiangyun, based on artificial intelligence, enabling users to use the data real time. It will be the first AI-based data platform in China.
