Have you ever dreamed with your eyes open?

ORIGINATING in Belgium, the famous electronic music spectacular Daydream Festival will come to Shanghai for the first time.

Taking place at the Shanghai International Music Park on April 14-15, the festival will feature some of the most famous DJs, showcasing a diverse spectrum of both dance and pop music.

Organizers promised three impressive stages, dazzling special effects and more than 50 artists to create “one of the hottest festivals” for Chinese fans.

Leading the way on the Main Dream Stage will be Dutch DJ Afrojack. Having previously taken his trademark sound to festival stages at the likes of EDC New York and Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Tomorrowland, Afrojack is well versed in getting the masses moving.

Joining Afrojack will be Ummet Ozcan, a record producer of Turkish origin from Putten, Gelderland and Quintino, who has just released his collaboration “Mayhem” with Steve Aoki, a track the pair recently performed together at Ultra Music Festival.

The Bass Dream Stage will be the house of bass, trap and dubstep music. UK producer and DJ Zomboy, one of the biggest names in bass, has gone from strength to strength over the past few years. The sound of HeRobust from the US, despite being relatively new, has a lot of personal identity.

Meanwhile, the Live Dream Stage is devoted to popular singers and indie-pop musicians.

During the festival, Rich Brian, best known for his gold-selling 2016 viral hit, will showcase the festivals depths of sounds.

Shang Wenjie, a pioneer Chinese singer and composer of electronic music from Shanghai, will perform the theme song of the festival — a remix version of her 2017 song “The One That Ran Away.” UK pop sensation Conor Maynard — with a UK No. 1 album and five UK top 10 singles under his belt — will also perform.

Adding further live elements to the Daydream line up are American pop-rock band Against The Current, Swedish live act Ember Island, the viral sensation Greyson Chance, as well as Clara Mae, Poppy, Lenka, Tamas Wells, DidRick, Madilyn Bailey and the multi-platinum Danish singer Christopher.

Organizers said the festival’s slogan — “Have you ever dreamed with your eyes open?” — sums it all up, promising an “unforgettable experience.”
