Fairmont Peace Hotel: a legend with a history

One of the Far East’s most renowned hotels, the 88-year-old Fairmont Peace Hotel Shanghai offers art and culture and a beautiful, historic setting for events that will cast a special spell.

During its famously decadent 1920s and 1930s heyday, the Peace Hotel’s tea dances, costume parties, grand balls and concerts attracted socialites and international jet setters.

On more than one occasion, it made newspaper headlines.

After a three-year renovation, Fairmont Peace Hotel is ready to once again take its spot as one of Shanghai’s top meeting spots for the global elite.

Located in the heart of Shanghai, at the center of the iconic Bund, the hotel’s MICE offerings include the latest high-tech equipment, experienced event specialists and creative catering options.

From product launches to private executive retreats, the hotel’s meeting and event facilities offer character and style.

The Peace Hall is adorned with Art Deco details, like Lalique glass chandeliers and a 6.5-meter-high ceiling.

The original sprung white maple dance floor shines in a new light, making the Peace Hall a stunning venue for banquets and receptions for up to 300 people.

Famous heads of state and presidents such as Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton have graced many famous events held in the iconic Peace Hall.

The exclusive Roof Top, with panoramic views of Pudong and Shanghai, offers one of the most stunning outdoor locations in the city for parties of up to 800 people. Once a special room for Victor Sassoon’s private wining-and-dining, Nine Heaven on the 11th floor embraces sweeping views across the stunning skyline of Pudong and the magnificence of the Huangpu River.

The England and Scotland Rooms — two of the most distinctive private dining venues in the city — are discreetly nestled on the rooftop of the building.

Located on the mezzanine level are the function rooms Chun Shen and Thames, which are right above the Bund.

The 215- and 110-square-meter meeting spaces are flooded with natural light, and offer a compelling view of the Bund and the skyline of Pudong.

And they have been immaculately designed to complement the Art Deco style of the hotel.

No matter which location you choose, highly trained event specialists attend to all the needs of our guests.

Impeccable hospitality and classic design ensure that every event — whether business or pleasure — is nothing short of memorable.
