Suspects seized after judge killed 'for fun'

POLICE have seized two suspects at Hangzhou railway station who allegedly killed a judge in southwest China for "some excitement."

The two, identified as Zhao and Yang, confessed that they and three other men met the victim outside Guizhou Province Higher People's court last Thursday night.

Zhao told police they didn't like the "way he walked" and started beating him until he stopped moving, Hangzhou based Dushikuaibao Newspaper reported today.

Yang said they robbed the judge of 200 yuan (US$29.30) even though he makes more than 10,000 yuan per month running a chess and poker room in Guizhou.

He allegedly told police they killed the judge just for a bit of fun, according to the report.

After killing the judge, Zhao and Yang decided to flee to Hong Kong but stopped in Hangzhou to visit the famous West Lake.

The three other suspects are still on the run. Guizhou police will escort the pair back to their hometown.
