Nothing fancy, just Hsiao and his amazing music

CHINESE Mandopop singer, songwriter and actor Hsiao Ching-teng will wrap up his concert in Shanghai.

Born in Taiwan, Hisao’s music interest started when he found Bon Jovi’s “Crush” album at the age of 14. Later he taught himself many instruments, including the drums, guitar and keyboards.

Rising to fame after participating in the TV show “One Million Stars” in 2007, Hsiao was scouted by many record companies eager to recruit fresh talent with wide vocal ranges, unique singing style and diverse musical repertoires.

Since his debut, Hsiao has released eight solo albums including “Jam Hsiao,” “Princess,” “Love Moments,” “Wild Dreams,” “Mr Jazz: A Song For You,” “It’s All About Love,” “The Song” and “Reminiscence.”

His music takes in many genres, from jazz, pop, rock and electropop. Hsiao has earned millions of fans with his original soundtracks and his covers of classic songs with his own arrangements and illustrations which are viewed “absolutely mind-blowing and dynamite.”

With no fancy outfits and nothing extravagant, Hsiao will present his powerful, impactful and emotional masterpieces to his music lovers, which will bring them pure enjoyment at a summer night.
