FASHION brand Shiatzy Chen has teamed up with Disney to feature the iconic cartoon figure Mickey Mouse on an adventure to Dunhuang grottoes.
The collection styled in casual sporty designs including skinny sweat pants, hoodies and turtleneck sweaters, adorned with jacquard weave and chiffon lace and patterns of Mickey in knitting and twisting yarn.
Elements of the landscape in deserted Dunhuang of northwest China’s Gansu Province can also be found in the collection, reconstructing the aura of the major stop of the century-old Silk Road with imageries of local animals and architecture. A touch of Eastern culture was added to the design by employing artistic styles of traditional Chinese paper folding art and rubber printing techniques.
The special collection is available at the brand’s flagship store at The Peninsula Shanghai on the Bund.
