Shanghai's car plate auction for March concluded this morning, with 217,056 people signing up for the auction of 9,855 car plates, making the success rate standing at 4.5 percent.
The average winning price for a car plate stood at 88,176 yuan (US$13,972), up 516 yuan compared with last month.
The lowest bidding price was 88,100 yuan, up from 87,600 a month earlier.
The success rate of 4.5 percent this month is 0.5 percentage points lower compared with that of last month.
