Nissan will showcase three electric vehicles at the upcoming auto show in Beijing as the Japanese automaker aims to meet growing demand for such cars in China.

The three electric models, which will debut at Auto China 2018 in Beijing, include a new electric vehicle whose details were not disclosed, the new Nissan Leaf and an electric crossover concept vehicle named Nissan IMx KURO, according to a statement published by Nissan today.

Nissan said that these three models will highlight the company's commitment to electrification and feature its strength and depth in the highly competitive and growing Chinese market.

“China is now the world’s most important electric vehicle market. In the coming years, China will become a battleground for global automakers in the field of electric cars,” said Jose Munoz, chief performance officer of Nissan Motor Co.

Besides the three electric vehicles, Nissan will showcase its electrified powertrain technology at the auto show this year. The all-new Nissan Terra, a sport-utility vehicle, will also be launched in China's market soon, the company said.
