Car plate price at US$13,517 this month

Shanghai's car plate auction for June concluded this morning, with 209,672 people signing up for the auction of 10,775 car plates, making the success rate standing at 5.1 percent.

The average winning price for a car plate stood at 87,900 yuan (US$13,517), down 1,118 yuan compared with last month.

The lowest bidding price was 87,800 yuan, down from 89,000 a month earlier.

The success rate of 5.1 percent this month remains the same compared with that of last month. Up to 198,627 people bid in last month's Shanghai auction for car plates and 5.1 percent of participants emerged victorious.
