Honeywell announced that it has completed its spin-off of Garrett Motion Inc, Honeywell's former transportation systems business.

Following a global spin-off from Honeywell in October, Garrett now presents itself as an independent auto parts company, named Garrett-Advancing Motion China, to carry out business activities in China.

Garrett-Advancing Motion China will focus on three key business areas including turbochargers, electric boosting products and connected vehicle software. The company offers a wide range of turbocharging technologies for traditional gasoline, diesel, natural gas and new-energy vehicles, as well as solutions for intelligent connected vehicle safety and vehicle health management.

The company now has more than 35 clients in China. It has two plants in Shanghai and Wuhan which produce turbochargers, with an engineering team of more than 200 professionals. The company said it will localize electric boosting products in the Chinese market in the future.

Charles Jin is the president of High Growth Regions (China and India) of Garrett Motion Inc, the company said.

Honeywell is a software-industrial company that delivers industry specific solutions including aerospace products and services, control technologies for buildings, and industry and performance materials.
