Auto parts makers roll out latest offerings
Auto parts makers such as Bosch, Webasto, Aisin Seiki and Denso are displaying their latest offerings during the second China International Import Expo (CIIE).
German automotive supplier Bosch is showcasing innovative products and solutions in the field of automated driving. The next-generation sensors and cameras that Bosch brought to the expo are meant to improve road safety and lead to more accident-free automated driving.
German parts maker Webasto is displaying its roof sensor module for autonomous driving vehicles. The module integrates sensors, cameras, lights and other functions.
Jan Henning Mehlfeldt, China president of Webasto, said that China's auto market is developing rapidly, which creates a growing need for technology innovation. The company's roof sensor module can be applied on level 4 and level 5 autonomous driving vehicle.
A total of 69 auto companies from 16 countries and regions are taking part in this year's expo. Around 30 are Fortune 500 companies. The 30,000-square-meter automobile exhibition area is debuting more than 70 new products and technologies.
