Leading auto parts suppliers gather in Shanghai

Auto parts suppliers have brought their latest products and technologies to Automechanika Shanghai, which opens on Tuesday.

As Asia’s largest trade fair for automotive parts, accessories, equipment and services, around 6,270 exhibitors from 43 countries and regions will participate in Automechanika Shanghai. This year, the exhibition space is estimated to cover 350,000 square meters.

The exhibition will display the latest products and technologies in the fields of new-energy vehicles, intelligent vehicle technology, 5G and AI applications, car connectivity, mobility services and lightweight materials.

Fiona Chiew, deputy general manager of exhibition organiser Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd said that Automechanika Shanghai has continued to embrace change and nurtured development by way of new themes and elements. 

German auto parts manufacturer MANN+HUMMEL showcased its newly developed heavy-duty air filter WIX NanoPro, which went on the market in China just last month. The filter material is coated with a layer of nanofibers. This innovative technology enables the filter to have a higher filtering efficiency.

German supplier Continental is showcasing its after-sales auto parts solutions. Continental is also exhibiting mechanical and electronic auto parts including the upgraded version of its timing kit, new wipers and braking products.

Automechanika Shanghai is scheduled to run through December 6 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
