Galeries Lafayette to open a new store in Shanghai
Galeries Lafayette China signed a letter of intent with Shanghai Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone yesterday to open a new store in Shanghai before 2018.
According to the after-hours announcement yesterday, Shanghai-listed Lujiazui, owned by local state-owned assets supervision and administration commission, will provide a site of 23,100 square meters in the Lujiazui Center for Galeries Lafayette to set up a co-operative department store.
The store is expected to open for business no later than December 2018.
Galeries Lafayette now operates one store in Beijing.
