SPDB rolls out plans to enhance Shanghai's 'Four Brands'

The bank will push forward the four brands of Shanghai Services, Shanghai Manufacturing, Shanghai Shopping and Shanghai Culture to transform the city into a global hub.

The Shanghai Pudong Development Bank on Wednesday said it planned to enhance the city’s "Four Brands" by supporting the city's financial system to achieve the transformation of the city into a global hub.

The bank said that it will push forward the building of the four brands of Shanghai Services, Shanghai Manufacturing, Shanghai Shopping and Shanghai Culture by significantly strengthening its financial support capability to the city in the free trade zone, the Yangtze River Delta integration program and innovation.

Wang Xinhao, executive vice president of the Shanghai-based bank, reiterated that finance is the core function of the city and it is vitally important to promote financial development to enhance building the city’s “Four Brands.”

Specifically, the joint-stock commercial lender said that it will help push the development of the financial markets to a higher level, provide high-quality clearing and settlement service and propel Shanghai to expand its international influence.

SPDB added that it will boost innovation in financial products and services for enterprises and foster startups.
