World industrial giant Siemens joined the first China International Import Expo under the theme of “Ingenuity for Life – we make real what matters."

Siemens further expanded its cooperation with Chinese enterprises in multi-areas and inked a number of cooperation agreements.

“The import expo is a great platform that marks 40 years of reform and opening-up,” said Lothar Herrmann, CEO of Siemens China. “I especially echo the point that countries should focus on innovation to drive economic growth by grasping opportunities generated from new technological revolution such as digitalization and AI.”

As a global leader in the industrial Internet of Things and digital technology, Siemens presented its comprehensive advanced and innovative products, technology and solutions in four areas - digital enterprise, sustainable energy, smart infrastructure and digitized health care.

It also entered into a number of agreements with Chinese companies, seizing global development opportunities together

“I'm convinced the CIIE will become an important platform for Siemens to strengthen interaction with our Chinese partners and jointly map out the blueprint for digital and technological innovation in the new era,” said Herrmann.

“China is Siemens’ second largest overseas market and one of our most important business locations in the world. With our global network, innovative technology in electrification, automation and digitalization, Siemens will continue to invest in China’s high-quality economic development at present as well as its sustainable future, creating values for our customers, employees and society.”
