For services company Sodexo, its presence at the China International Import Expo is a demonstration of China’s rapid transition into a services-led economy.

Along with more than 350 services companies at the expo, Sodexo was showcasing how “good services” can help improve the quality of life and raise work efficiency.

The French firm, which provides on-site, benefits and rewards as well as personal and home services, has witnessed China’s rising demand for safer, healthier and more efficient home, school and work spaces.

“Our business in China has been expanding along with the rising demand of Chinese consumers,” said Martin Boden, president of Sodexo China. “And our success is a reflection of the success of our clients, including corporations, schools and families longing for life of better quality.”

For Sodexo, quality of life means sufficient room for personal growth, social interaction, conditions for collaborative efficiency, individual recognition, a secure physical environment, and the promotion of health and well-being. To realize them, Sodexo offers training spaces, award areas, nursery rooms and leisure facilities at its on-site services locations.

“Sodexo will continue to explore new ways to better serve our clients, and the current key is to offer smarter services empowered by digital equipment,” said Boden. “Also, we will further cater to the demands of the younger generation, who have very different expectations for work in areas like leisure, interaction and privacy.”
