New Zealand dairy co-operative Fonterra signed deals worth more than 12 billion yuan (US$1.73 billion) at the China International Import Expo with companies including Xiamen C&D Co Ltd and Bailian Group.

“As the largest company in New Zealand, we’re honored to attend this national event,” said Zhu Xiaojing, president of Fonterra China.

“Fonterra has been committed to providing nutritious and safe dairy products for Chinese consumers for over 40 years. Looking to the future, Fonterra will continue to hold fast to quality and innovation, and delivering healthy, first-class dairy products to Chinese consumers,” Zhu said.

Fonterra’s complete range of products were on offer at the expo. They included UHT milk, milk powder and ambient yogurt from across its Anchor, Anlene and Anmum brands. There were also many products for the catering trade.

Fonterra incorporated New Zealand farms into the look and feel of its booth. Using virtual reality devices, visitors could enjoy the natural environment and scenery of the nation's dairy farms.
