First SJTU Auscultation Master Cup wraps up

The first Shanghai Jiao Tong University Auscultation Master Cup wrapped up last Friday at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. 

After several rounds of in-hospital qualifiers, eliminations, semi-finals, and finals, Shanghai Children’s Medical Center was named champion of the First SJTU Auscultation Master Cup after beating out a field of 13 teams drawn from SJTUSM-affiliated hospitals. Coming in second, Shanghai Chest Hospital and Shanghai Ruijin Hospital also registered outstanding performances.

Hosted by the SJTUSM with the support of 3M China, the Auscultation Master Cup was aimed at clinical physicians under 40. To highlight the importance of cardiac auscultation — using sound — in clinical diagnosis, the Master Cup aims to improve young and middle-aged physicians’ auscultation skills.

In turn, these products enable physicians to more accurately and quickly hear, screen, and diagnose diseases. In addition, 3M created an interactive zone during the Master Cup which enabled people to experience the product’s exceptional performance.
