Schneider Electric sees boost from online economy

At the Chinese operation of Schneider Electric, all manufacturing facilities are now fully utilized, which indicates that it has recovered from the COVID-19 crisis.

Schneider Electric is a European multinational company providing energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability. The company has operations in over 100 countries and employs more than 137,000 people.

Boosted by the online economy, some businesses are even seeing stronger growth now than in 2019, the company said.

The demand for automatic logistic sorting systems and industrial products such as frequency transformer is increasing.

The online economy is also pushing a large number of data centers to expand, which bolsters the demand for uninterruptible power systems. The production of mask machine also offers opportunities for Schneider.

According to the company, supply chains play an important role and it is focusing on the fast recovered industry to tap into opportunities.

So far, Schneider has achieved increasing sales in the second quarter, following the temporary decline in a first quarter heavily affected by the virus.
