China's PMI down to 51.4 in July

China's official Purchasing Managers' Index, which measures vitality of the manufacturing sector slated towards state-owned enterprises, slowed to 51.4 in July from 51.7 a month earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said today.

It remained in the expansionary territory for a 12th consecutive month.

The non-manufacturing PMI also moderated to 54.5 from 54.9.
