Lujiazui Forum opens in Shanghai
Vice Premier Liu He delivers a keynote speech at the opening of the 11th Lujiazui Forum on Thursday.
Vice Premier Liu He said China needs to accelerate economic rebalancing to strengthen the country's competitiveness.
“We should continue supply improvement, strengthen on-going demand upgrade and build a more adaptive financial system," he said at the opening of the 11th Lujiazui Forum on Thursday.
The theme of this year's forum is “Accelerating International Financial Center Development and Promoting High Quality Economic Growth."
The two-day event will see more than 400 guests, from home and abroad, share their thoughts on hot topics in the financial industry, including the sci-tech innovation board and a registration-based IPO system, financial opening-up and international cooperation, as well as banks’ lending to private enterprises and small companies.
