Exhibits at the second China International Import Expo, due to run from tomorrow to November 10 in Shanghai, has attracted huge attention.

This year’s event has a total exhibition area of 360,000 square meters, up from 300,000 square meters last year.

Dow, the world-leading materials science company headquartered in the US, is to introduce over 50 products at the second CIIE that will enable a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle for Chinese consumers.

The Rhobarr 320 Barrier Coating is one such product. It has polyolefin dispersions providing a paper coating solution for recyclable straws and cups.

The Dow paper coating solution provides oil, acid, cold and hot water resistance to paper straw and cup, which are classified as recyclable.

LTO Ultrium8 Data Cartridge from Fujifilm

Fujifilm will debut its newest generation of data cartridge, the LTO Ultrium8 Data Cartridge, in China at the second CIIE.

Since the launch of LTO1 in 2000, Fujifilm has consistently developed high-performance and quality magnetic tapes with large data capacity.

The 8th-generation LTO Ultrium offers a storage capacity of 30TB, twice the capacity of the previous generation. It is also capable of transferring data at 750MB/sec.

In the future, Fujifilm LTO Ultrium8 Data Cartridge is to engage in AI/IoT-based smart manufacturing.

Multiple innovative vaccines from Sanofi

Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of French pharma giant Sanofi, will showcase its multiple innovative vaccine products developed with world-leading technologies as well as an “All Scenario Protection” vaccine solution.

The vaccine provides protection against influenza and responds to influenza outbreaks more effectively. It can be produced within two months using the genetic recombination techniques, whereas the current vaccine production process requires six months
